2003 Ford Ranger Edge XL with 43,000 ORIGINAL miles. I have the original window sticker that was on the truck and the purchase receipts that my mother received from the original buyer. There has only been 3 title changes since 2003. The first was the original buyer, hen my mother purchased it, nd then when I inherited it after she passed away.
The truck was involved in an estate issue after her death in January of 2009. I have a sibling that disappeared for 28 years and just so happened, howed up when he found out she passed away. The estate was finally settled in September of 2014. My sibling stole the truck and parked it in a barn on some property where it sat until January or 2012. I regained ownership of the vehicle after he was made by the court to release it to me. When I received the truck back, t had some minor damage done by field mice. It sat behind locked gate until I was sure the estate was settled and was in September of 2014.
After the estate closed, wanted to make sure everything was running and back to what it was before it was sitting all those years so, had the transmission overhauled, he differential flushed and serviced, C pulley replaced (was making slight noise after sitting so long), ensioner pulley replaced, dle pulley replaced, ew serpentine belt, ass airflow replaced, 2 sensor (bank 2) replaced, atalytic converter replaced, uel filter replaced, uel pump replaced, nd the battery was replaced in July 2015. The cruise control buttons, ocated on the steering wheel have been replaced. They were just old and starting to crack. New tires were also put on and these are only the second set of tires ever put on and still under warranty. The only reason they needed replaced, he originals were dry rotted. I also had the back glass and side glass tinted in 2014 and purchased a new bed mat for it. The truck has a hard, ockable tonneau cover that was installed by the first owner.
Right now, t's in MINT CONDITION and as of yesterday, t actually had about 20 miles short of 43,000. I've also pulled an Auto Check vehicle report and I'm willing to send a copy, ia PDF format, o serious inquiries by email. The stereo system is the OEM Mach3, disc CD Changer and all speakers are perfect, he AC is not just good, t's fantastic. The flooring is the textured vinyl floor. The only non factory addition is the tonneau cover.
In 2014, received a recall from Ford for the ABS break switch located under the hood by the master cylinder. When the service guy saw the truck and how many miles on it, e called all of his buddies over to come and look at it. He is quoted as saying, This is like a new truck, t's not even broken in good yet". A few weeks ago, bought my daughter a 1998 Jeep Wrangler in mint condition and I told him about the truck and showed him pictures. He deals mostly with older model Jeep Wranglers that are in excellent to perfect condition. I asked him how much he thought the truck was worth and he said it's priceless, imply because there's not another one like it anywhere. He said it's in too good of shape!
The only thing that is wrong with the truck, he gear identifier is stuck in first, ut that's not an issue and a pretty simple fix.
