A raised hood and higher beltline may make the SUV look tougher. At 174.7 inches long and 71.1 inches wide, he Escape is the shortest of its competitors, ut not by much. Fuel cap removed in favor of capless refueling nozzle. Exterior features include: New 16-inch low-rolling-resistance tires, ew aerodynamic refinements and Larger front air dam. The Escape got a totally revised interior, aking it blocky and square. Along with improved materials, he cabin is quieter and the seats more environmentally friendly, ith seat fabric made out of 100 percent post-industrial-waste plastic. Passenger volume remains the same, t 99 cubic feet. Cruise control now standard. Interior feature include: Sync multimedia interface, uxiliary input jack, lue backlighting and redesigned seats use environmentally friendly construction. New 240-hp, .0-liter V-6 (223 pounds-feet of torque) teams with six-speed automatic transmission. The 2009 Ford Escape features an array of standard safety technologies. The Escape's braking system has been revised in an effort to improve brake pedal feel and allow shorter stopping distances. Antilock brakes, oll stability control, ual-stage front airbags, ront-seat-mounted side-impact airbags and side curtain airbags are installed. We have owner manuals and one key for this car.
