I am offering my super nice 57 Ford Custom 300 for your consideration. I am cashing out and will also be listing a 63 500XL boxtop. This is a late production 57 (2 weeks before end of model year) which means nothing other than a talking point. The car was modified and painted in 2003. The exterior color is 1998 Ford Escort Light Pine Green metallic D9 and shines like it was done yesterday. Base/clear. The drive train is a 351 removed from a 1969 Mustang and a C4 transmission.. There is power steering (70 Ford pump) and power drum brakes. Both work exceptional. Radio is a Custom autosounds unit. This winter I have detailed the engine compartment and painted the interior to match the exterior. Previously it was the original dark green as it was built. I also replaced the carpet and installed a 1 wire alternator.I do not know the mileage on the drivetrain since it was rebuilt in 2003 butbelieve it to be 5-7K. When I removed the valve covers the engine inside is spotless and the car runs like stink. The rear gear is a 3.56. When I bought the car it had chrome reverse wheels which I have replaced with REV 15", 6 and 8).The only repairs I have seen is the passenger floor has been replaced and the very bottomof the rf fender has been replaced.Bothappear to be done by a professional. I see no rust or rot anywhereelse on the car.I have yet to replace the front sway bar and new bushings as it has been a touch cold here. I also have splatter paint and a new trunk mat, nd kick panelswaiting for spring. The front springs have been cut and the rear has air shocks and sway bar. You can see that the stance is perfect. (my opinion). I have attempted to cover everything and be honest about all. If I missed something just ask. Some items I omitted and have been asked about....chrome side trim has been straightened and polished, old insert replaced with new repop, added a switched pusher fan for traffic driving, okar shifter, ew speedometer and odometer surround, nd the clock WORKS!
