1966 Ford Mustang Convertible GT Clone

1966 Ford Mustang GT Clone. This Mustang came from the Metuchen NJ plant as a 6cyl. and was professionally upgraded to a 302 4BBL and body and interior upgraded to the GT package. Converted to disc brakes. No Power steering. No Air Conditioning. Note this is obviously not a number matching car due to the engine swap. 3 Speed Automatic. Engine runs great and transmission shifts smoothly. Nice driver quality mustang. Please read the entire ad as I will do my best to describe to you the condition of this car. Exterior: Driver/Amateur quality paint. painted in Night mist blue. This mustang is an older restoration so the paint shows some age. Little bubbling on the trunk and some chips and scratches here and there. Little fading and the side view mirrors were reinstalled. There are no visible signs of rust. Overall though many compliments have been received when driving this car. Recently installed exterior parts include: Front and rear bumper. tail lights. nbsp;grille ornament. GT lights. convertible boot cover. trunk lock and bezel. Interior: Again a older restoration showing some age in spots but still shows nicely. Carpet has some fading. Recently installed interior parts include: Door handles. window handles. GT 350 steering wheel. removable center console. glove box door. Radio. speakers. seat belts. floor mats. seat side moldings. sill plates. door lock knobs and grommets. 1/4 window regulators. turn signal lever. In the trunk. new trunk mat. spare tire w/jack and lug kit. Jack and convertible boot covers. Mechanical: Starts. runs and drives great. but needs brake work. Brakes are spongy and need attention. Recent mechanical work includes: Battery. nbsp;New Edelebrock 4 BBL carb. Flowmaster mufflers. Rear shocks. New dual bowl master cylinder. New Radiator and hoses. Full tune up. plugs. wires. cap. rotor. New mustang performance valve covers and gaskets. Brand New tires and Scott Drake GT style hubcaps with Center Caps. Electrical Working: Head lights. high beams. nbsp;tail lights. brake lights. nbsp;turn signals. dash lights. radio. horn. wipers. All original gauges work and sun pro gauges work. (Tachometer is off a little)Electrical not working: heat. GT lights (work just need to be wired). courtesy lights. windshield washer pump. reverse lights. Again this a driver quality mustang. not a show car. it can be enjoyed and driven as is. I've taken this car on 80 mile round trips with no issues. Would advise checking soft brakes first.
