Description

1966 Ford Mustang for sale. VIN 6T07C155059. Body 65A. 2 door hardtop with standard bucket seat interior. Engine C. 289 2V. Axle 6. 2. 80 gears. Transmission 1. 3 speed manual. Color Z. Sauterne Gold. Trim D8. Parchment vinyl and parchment rosette vinyl with ivy gold. Date code 22L. November 22. Assembly plant T. Metechen. This car was driven until the mid eighties and then stored in a barn until 2014. Although it was stored for 30 years it was also driven for 20 which was plenty of time to get rusty and be modified. This is a project car. It would be an awesome father/son or daughter project. Or a great car to take to shop class. It appears to have its original rear end and transmission. The current engine is a 1974 302. 2V. The parts for this car a readily available and inexpensive. It should have the floor pans replaced. The rails look good except the back of both rears where the shakles bolt on. The trunk floors are fairly solid but will need the drop offs replaced. It should also have quarter skins and outer wheel wells and the battery apron panel needs replaced. The doors could be repaired as well as the fenders. The hood and trunk are good as is the roof. The rocker panels are solid. All the glass is good. Again all the parts for this car are readily available at CJ Pony parts and are inexpensive. The interior needs everything. The headliner is white. the rest of the interior was changed to black. The center console body appears in good shape but it will need a new insert. The bucket seats appear to be from a 71 Mustang and the steering wheel appears to be from a 70 Torino. It has a 5 lug suspension. My plan is to restomod the car making the body and interior original and updating the suspension and driveline. I'm offering the car for sale for someone looking for a family project or looking to restore a 66 Mustang totally original before I modify it. The car rolls easily but does not have brakes. I will deliver for free within 100 miles of my home if my asking price is met. Call LeRoy at 717-254-5075 or check out over 50 pictures at tannersclassics. com. Thank you for looking. The car is for sale locally. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.
