1957 Ford Del Rio Ranch Wagon Custom

Offered for sale is my 1957 Ford Del Rio Ranch Wagon. Very few of these cars exist today.

Ford built the Del Rio from 1957 – 1959 in response to Chevrolets Nomad Wagon.

This car was customized about 30 years ago. Theoriginal Y-Block engine was replaced with a 351 Cleveland with a four barrel carburetor and is cooled by electric fan. Theoriginal transmission was updated to a modern automatic overdrive. The original front drum brakes were replaced with power disc brakes. Air conditioning was added for comfort and blows cold on high speed. All of the stainless trim is in place and the chrome bumpers shine. Theoriginal vacuum wipers have been updated to electric along with new arms and blades. The custom wheels are 16” replacing the original 14” steel wheels. As mentioned this is an older build so needless to say the paint and upholstery are worn with a few blisters and scratches. The lights and signals work, owever the radio does not work. The power steering has a leak.

This is a really cool car that you can enjoy as-is or restore to your taste. The Del Rio would make a cool shop vehicle or advertisement vehicle for any vintage business. I bought the car out of Southern California so it is as dry as any 1950’s era car around.Please look at the pictures and ask questions, encourage inspections, emember this is a 59 year old car.
