DESCRIPTION I purchased this car in 2006 and began the restoration; showing this car at VTCI events as I progressed to the Primary Level under Concours rules. This Oxford White with Ivy Gold interior 1966 Thunderbird convertible is equipped with the 390 FE block modified with a 410 CI engine kit. This engine also has cobra jet valves and a mild cam. Estimated 330 hp plus. This engine set-up was available from Ford and was used primarily on the 66-67 big Mercury. identified as a 410 CI rated at 330 hp. Engine block cast date precedes the ship date. It has C6 automatic transmission. unique White/Redline tires and deluxe wheel covers. bright wheel arch moldings. power windows. power steering. slide-away steering wheel. power driver’s seat. Classic Air air conditioning. AM/FM factory radio with optional rear seat speaker. and tinted glass. This Thunderbird is restored to Concours-quality standards with scrupulous attention to detail and authenticity [exceptions to original specifications; exterior (factory color-Honey Dew). Classic Air. and adjustable rear air shocks]. I modified the original A/C register to accept the four duct-tubes rather than use the Classic Air’s design. It appears from the dash that the A/C is original design. Notwithstanding this car is penalized points for these modifications. this bird has achieved recent 1st Place awards at two VTCI International shows. It has been certified as a Senior Concours since 2009. The most recent 1st place as a Senior car was in 2013 at the Houston International Show. Documentation: Factory build sheet. window sticker (invoice). owner’s manual. engine builder’s details and related parts listing. and a three ring binder full of historical documentation since I purchased this car.
