Story: You are looking at a 1948 Ford Convertible. I purchased this car years ago with the intention of restoring but have too many other projects to get moving on it. Originally a Western car. I am the third owner. Car has never been left outside in the winter. No body work required. Still has its original top with the black interior. No dents or rust or hidden bondo. This is a clean clean car. Pictures don’t do it justice. Below are the parts that I have accumulated:
Accessories:
· Extra Dashboard from a 1946 with black gauges (better looking than 47’s and 48’s)
· All new weatherstripping
· Fender welting
· Power top motors
· Extra windshield wipers (and motors)
· Cowl vent seals
· Extra gauges
· New roof rail seal
· New cowl vent gasket
· New vent window seals
· New cowl lacing
· All new door seals
· Back side door seals
· Convertible top seals
· Extra rubber stone guard
· Extra dash chrome
· Extra hood hinges
· Chrome belt line fasteners
· Excellent stainless steel trim on whole car
· Extra fasteners and wiring
· Carburetor rebuilding kit
· Lower door seals
· Blinker conversion already installed
Body: The body is original and is very clean. The inner fenders, runk, nd floor areas are excellent and have never been repaired. All the stainless steel is in excellent shape.
Frame and suspension: Frame is in good shape with only surface rust (see pics). The springs, ushings, ingpins, ody mounts, hock absorbers, xhaust system is all in excellent shape. You don’t find unrestored old cars in this good shape.
Drive line: The engine runs like a clock. Quiet…no loud noises. Can barely hear it run. The clutch is smooth and the transmission shifts effortlessly. Would not be afraid to drive this car anywhere.
Interior: The interior is clean in original black. Dash could use a repaint. The seats and door panels (original, believe) are in good shape and would clean up nicely as is. Top mechanism is in really nice shape showing no rust or wear. The top is operated manually, ut I have a motor for the top if the new owner would like to convert to power top.
