1995 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra Convertible - Before the Ford Mustang entered the scene in '64, erformance-car enthusiasts were limited to one of two types of vehicles: sports cars or big muscle cars. But the '64 Mustang was a fresh, ew hybrid of sports and muscle car that offered relatively surefooted handling and straight-line speed. And what's more, t came with a reasonable sticker price. The Mustang and the Mustang-inspired cars from other manufacturers that followed became known as pony cars; over the years, he Mustang's leadership in the group was rarely threatened. Officially named the Ford SVT Mustang Cobra (also known as SVT Mustang Cobra, VT Cobra, r simply as Cobra), t was a pony car model that was built in model years 1993 through 2004 by Ford Motor Company's Special Vehicle Team division (or SVT, or short). The SVT Cobra was a high-performance version of the Ford Mustang, onsidered as top-of-the-line as it was positioned above the Mustang GT and Mach 1 models during its era of production. The 1995 Cobra was essentially a carryover of the 1994 model. The chrome SVT badge on the decklid was new for all SVT vehicles this year. A new vertical spat was added to the leading edge of each rocker panel extension to prevent rock damage to the lower body. The Cobra convertible returned this year for a limited production run of only 1,003 units, nd all were painted Black and fitted with Saddle leather interiors and Black convertible tops.
