Vehicle Overview 1965 Ford Cortina Mk1 GT
We found this 1965 Cortina MK1 GT in a local warehouse. Our Cortina is a rust free California car as solidas they come. The Cortina was originally Burgundy and is disassembled and ready for restoration orconversion to a mock Lotus Cortina track beast with a Duratec and Mazda 6 speed? The car includes manyoriginal parts as well as a new adjustable coil over front suspension (presently installed) with vented rotorsand adjustable arms.
The seats are not original to the car but we have been told they are the original type. The car retains itsoriginal WIPAC headlamp assemblies and tail lamps, s well as the factory header, xhaust and transmount. Sadly the drivetrain, ide trim, auges, runk lock, nd windscreen moldings have gone missing. Wedo have access to a Crossflow engine and transmission as well as a fresh crate Duratec and Mazda 6 speedwith engine mount kit. Neither drive train is included in the sale of this vehicle.
This is a great opportunity to own a solid rare Cortina. These cars are easy to work on, re very robust and you won't see another one at the local car cruise. We would paint the car in the Lotus scheme or make itinto a UK-style rally car. These cars are a great platform and finding a rust free example like this is a rarebird.
NOTE-The car will come with a bill of sale. There is no title to this vehicle.
