2007 Ford Mustang Shelby GT Cobra

"GT" plus "Ford Racing" equals "Shelby GT"

Shelby Automobiles, ased in Las Vegas, egins with a stock Mustang GT and adds a Ford Racing Power Pack and Handling Pack to each car. The Power Pack consists of a 90-millimeter cold-air intake, eworked engine calibration, pgraded exhaust flow (via a new X-pipe) and a shorter rear axle ratio (3.55 versus the GT's 3.31).

The Handling Pack consists of shorter springs, tiffer dampers and an upgraded front antiroll bar. The shorter springs drop the car 1.5 inches, hich is unfortunate in the sense that it makes seeing these upgraded parts -- all of them painted a shimmering shade of Ford Blue -- even harder to see unless you have access to a vehicle lift. A front strut-tower brace and P235/55ZR18 tires complete the Shelby GT's handling upgrades.

Production of the Shelby GT began in December 2006 and the car went on sale in January 2007. It was originally planned that up to 3,000 cars would be built. Differences include the deletion of the rear spoiler, retro Shelby hood scoop in place of the CS6/8 Shelby hood, nd silver versus the gold stripes, ith the car available in either white or black in 2007 and Vista Blue, rabber Orange, r Black with red stripes for 2008.

These limited production cars were Mustang GT Premium Coupes reworked to Shelby GTs at Shelby Automobiles Inc. Las Vegas; with the following upgrades:

· 4..6L engine upgraded with Ford Racing power pack - 319 HP (FR1)

· Cold air induction system

· High flow exhaust

· Ford Racing handling pack (FR3) including revised front spindles, owering springs, pgraded shocks and anti-roll bars

· Strut tower brace

· 3.55/1 HD rear

· Hurst shifter

· Shelby appearance package including silver stripes, rushed aluminum grill, ood scoop andloving pins, ear spoiler, ide scopes, OBRA badging (side, as cap) and Shelby badging.

Shelby GT 500 comes from the factory as is, ever modified at Shelby!
