This posting is for a 1962 Ford Galaxie, mpervious to Atomic Attack, with ford o matic super torque transmission. The car is in excellent mechanical shape and drives well, br>
It's painted as a taxi, ecause it travelled through time as a prop car. The odometer reads 89,900 miles, nd those are all original. I've included some stills from the movies it has been in, his is the actual car from Driving Miss Daisy. This film was shot here in Atlanta; there's alot of history in this car, and also alot of really good karma. This car was featured in the films "Driving Miss Daisy" as a yellow car, and "Angel Heart", s a black car. You see it in a yellow taxi configuration, nd the rates are great.
Although you see body rust, t's all surface, ith only a few very small spots that need anything other than wet sanding. The steel is extremely high quality, lmost depleted steel. Which is why it will withstand atomic attack.
This low rider has all original V 8 engine; I have replaced the rubber hoses and the lines, ut on a nice new holley carburetor, nd of course, uel filters and oil filters-- the car is in excellent mechanical shape. If you haven't yet experienced true race car torque, he Ford-o-matic super torque transmission is something to be experienced and not forgotten.
I have all trim for the car, ncluding hubcaps. Included in price. The trim is off because you might want to paint her, ut I personally enjoy driving her as is. I'll be honest with you, ven though
there are rust spots - those rust spots just don't grow. You're looking at 50 years of rust that rubs off the surface if you just rub it hard with your thumb, his is really, eally good steel.
This special numbered car is wired with thick, trong electrical and everything is well made - the lights in the dash and the signal lights are all original. Remember stories about how someone could make a light bulb that would last forever? Well, his car has them. All bulbs are original, nd they are as bright as they were the first day they were made.
1962 is getting hot for a collector year, nd this car will be done at just the right time to sell into the buyer interest, f you're into that kind of thing. One of these sold for 69,500, he others sell at 28 k, he mechanicals are so sound, hat really this car only needs minor body work, paint job and some interior work (a window gets stuck, he door in the back is a little stuck) . The interior is a bit time worn, ut the lights work, he heater blows hot air nicely, he radio is ok, nd there's an extra radio on the base. This car model year used vent windows for cooling, o it can be said that the AC is just fine.
But if you ask me, would say, eave it as it is and just drive it - it's been my daily driver and I love it. I'm selling it because I have no choice. Light strikes a deal with the coming night.
Let's reiterate.
1. One of a kind, ade in late 1962
2. All original, ow mileage only 89,900
3. Was featured in "Driving Miss Daisy" and "Angel Heart"
4. Super Torque Transmission, ew Carburetor, New radio (to be installed,
5. Includes all trim, eady to paint,
If you want a car that is impervious to atomic attack* makes a great daily driver, nd if you fix her up on the cosmetics, he will sell for three times what you pay for her here - then please feel free to bid, nd bid now!
I will entertain driving her out to you, 've already driven her on road trips for over 2 hours, nd she's fine to take on the highway, o my offer there is if you live a good distance away, will drive her to you for a reasonable price - but whatever works.
I am 100% POSITIVE FEEDBACK SELLER WITH OVER 9 YEARS EXPERIENCE ON EBAY. Stop and think about that! 9 years, ot a single bad deal? So I am telling you this car is tight, nd if you like the way it looks (and I do) then you sit right into it and drive off ! HAPPY BIDDING!!!!
* EMP pulse weapon. I kid you not, ith these signal lamps, nd thick electrical connections, nd the fact that she runs off a generator, he would actually withstand a hit from an EMP - no computer chips to fry, ust an analog thing of beauty forever.
