1932 Ford Pick-Up
Built by Bob Wilson, ld Forge PA. In his Clarks Summit PA. body shop in the late 50's.
Color: Old Burgundy Mist/Cadillac Sienna Rose
Bob did all the body work in Lead except for doors which were done by a friend with plastic. (Oakfield bodyshop)
Stock early mileage nail head Buick engine was obtained from a friend. Dual Carb manifold was the only modification. Sold to Bob Faraday, ext owner Brice Larson Sept 1977.
Improvements and maintenance since purchase:
Re-chrome engine trim and master cylinder
Re-balance engine to eliminate vibration
Replace fuel pump
Change hydraulic ratio in clutch
Change seats (kept originals)
Change steering wheel (Kept original)
Rebuilt original master cylinder
Replace mufflers with Smithy's Glass packs
Replaced battery
Replaced tires (radials)
Replaced hubcaps ('56 Olds Starfire)
Re-chrome windshield frame
Installed electric windshield wiper motor
Installed period correct radio and heater
Replaced all shocks
Installed rear shocks
Installed seat belts
Installed Sun tachometer
All work was done with maximum effort to retain period correct originality while making the vehicle more comfortable and drive-able so it can be driven anywhere in any weather.
