Being dressed in the Iconic Black paint with "Hertz" gold stripes is enough to tip off most Mustang enthusiasts,and being 1 of only 500 40thanniversary Shelby GT-H’s built for 2006 ensuresthere aren’t many out on the roads. Starting life as a standard black Mustang GT, hese cars were shipped directly from Ford to Shelby Automotive in Las Vegas, evada were they received many upgrades to become a GT-H.Most notableconsisted of swapping the rear end with a completely new unit with 3:55 gears, nstalling a Ford Racing Power Pack, Ford Racing Handling Pack, dding a special hood and front fascia, rushed aluminum grill, ide scoops and of course the Gold stripes to name a few. After being completed at Shelby, hese Hertz Mustangs were released and went on to being rented all across the country. This specific Shelby GT-H was built by Shelby 04/12/2006 and sent to Hertz Rental at the Denver International Airport, ere it was rented for about 7 months (and only 8,500 miles) before being sold to Brighton Ford of Denver Colorado in Dec. 06. After being sold Nov. 07 to its first and only private owners who also lived in Colorado, his Shelby has lived a well maintained and loving life.

As the photos show, he exterior of this Shelby is in very nice condition for its age. The mostly original black paint has a beautiful “wet” shine. The all original "Shelby applied" gold stripes are in very presentable condition as well. Most of the GT-H's stripes were replaced due to poor material and while these stripes are not perfect we thought it was best to leave them original as a testament to the care of the vehicle. The original 17 inch wheels are wrapped around a factory set of Pirelli P-Zero tires that are in excellent condition as well.

The dark charcoal leather interior is in near “show room new” condition.Like all 500 Hertz Mustangs, his car is equipped with the Interior Upgrade Package with Satin Aluminum paneling, dding a nice touch to the already sporty interior. Shelby also installed Audiovox Sirius Satellite Radios on all Hertz Mustangs, nd while most were removed after rental duty, his cars is still present and in perfect working order. The Shelby installed traction control override clip has also never been removed unlike many after their rental duties were over. Even the trunk compartment is in original condition (with Hertz do not remove accessories and bag still present) nor is the plastic trim scraped up from luggage or other abnormal abuse.

As you open the hood this cars engine compartment is complete and original down to the anti tamper wire that was installed by Shelby. Having been kept in a dry climate, here is no corrosion on anything underneath the hood or under the car for that matter. Also under the car on the right frame rail is the signature of the technician in charge of this car at the Shelby plant, hich also corresponds with the Shelby inspection sheet and documentation.

Documentation includes the original Hertz MSO, indow sticker, helby invoice, helby inspection sheet, nvoice from Hertz to Brighton Ford, aperwork from Brighton Ford to 1st owner, riginal shipping decals, ct. The vehicle also comes with the (never installed) 40th anniversary package, helby registry certificate and much more.
