In a throwback to the 1968 movie Mustang that bore its name, ord launched the 2001 Mustang Bullitt GT after a concept version had won acclaim at the 2000 L.A. Auto Show. Based on the 2001 Mustang GT, he limited-production Bullitt featured a 4.6-liter V-8 tweaked for better airflow and power, ncluding a cast-aluminum intake, win 57-mm bore throttle body and high-flow mufflers.Team Mustang also gave Bullitt a firmer, owered suspension for tighter handling, s well as special exterior enhancements and interior touches meant to capture the spirit of the movie car.
