1968 Ford Mustang GTREAL California Special
My Dad decided to clear his hangar and sell his original California black plate, 968 GT/CS Mustang. For anyone who does not know, he California Special Mustangs were only built for just over 5 months in early 1968. They included factory built, imited edition options and body styling. Shelby was then owned by Ford and the unique GT California Specials were designed by Shelby. They were built along side the 1968 Shelby GT500 and GT350 Fastbacks.
It is very common to find "clone" and "tribute" California Specials, owever this is a real, umbers matching, orrect and restored California Special! Marti Report documented. This car is extremely rare due to options like theMarchal fog lights, ower steering, ower disc brakes, nd factory Selectaire A/C.The entire car has been recently restored to top condition. The numbers matching 289 and automatic have been rebuilt, he body is straight and was repainted to show quality, he interior is all new including new seats, ew foam, ew carpet, ew headliner and a new dash. The suspension has all been stripped and restored, he brake booster and brakes have been replaced, ew wheel bearings installed and even new tires. All exterior chrome was replaced from bumpers to the flip up gas cap. I am sure there are more things that have been done that I am forgetting!
Overall, his is an absolutely pristine 1968 Mustang GT/CS with all the correct documentation. It has a clean title in my dad's name and the sale is as is with mileage exempt due to age.
