You are bidding on a San Jose built 1968 J code Mustang. It is originally equipped with 302 V8, utomatic transmission, ower steering and air conditioning. Factory color is Highland Green with Black interior. I purchased this from a gentleman in Nevadawho said it was in his family since new and came from California. It still had a California title when I purchased the car in 2013 and now holds a clear Nevada title in my name. It had been sitting in the previous owners garage for well over a decade been stored indoors since I`ve owned it.I haven`t done a thing to it in 3 years soit`s timeto let it go. J codeMustangs are rare simply because of low production numbers and the 302 V8. Previous owner swore the original engine had never been out of the car, ut Iam not a Mustangexpert so I have not checked engine numbers.Odometer shows 26k, ut I`m sure it`s 126k miles.

Condition is as follows:

Body:

One single repaint over original green.The white repaint is brittle andshould easilypeel off with soda blasting.All original body panels and no serious accidents of any kind, ust minor dings that you see in the pictures. Rear bumper is bent but the tail panel isstraight and solid. Body isrust free other than a small spot under the battery tray.Window channels, utters, uarter panels, runk extensions, oors, ambs, ash, loors, owl, orque boxes, rame rails, enders, ront clip and unibody are straight, olid, nd free of rust. Front bumper is new. Doors open and close/fit great. Window and door regulators could use grease but no stripped regulators. Trunk closes and fits good. Windshield is cracked, ll other glass is good.

Interior.

Headliner is excellent original condition as well as sail panels. As you can see,original seats, oor and kick panels, nd even carpet are still in great shapeand vinyl is still flexible. Steering column is tight, linker switch is getting sloppy. Interior needs work, ostly on the dash, ut is an excellentstart as you can see.

Drivetrain:

Needs a lot of love: Plan on complete brakes as this car has zero pedal pressure. I know nothing about the rear end, rans or engine condition or why it was taken apart to this point originally,butit looks as though all or 99%of the original parts were still in the trunk, ncluding the jack and spare (pictured) and are included with the car. Engine is not locked up, t did turn over by hand with a ratchet and socket.

Overall:

Unlike most of the project Mustangs out there for sale, his body is killer and doesn`t need thousands of dollars worth of sheetmetal replacement. Great start for your restoration or pro-touring build.
