Description

Here's the real deal from England with the right hand drive which is 100% stock and is 100% complete. What a barn find. This model wasin production from '49-'53with total productionbeing 108,878.The car was shipped from England in 1985 and has been in storage for almost 30-35 yrs. until such time the motor was completely rebuiltwith receipt showing a date of 10-17-14. Atthe time the motor was rebuiltalong withthe radiator being rodded / rebuiltand the fuel tank being dropped and cleaned. She purrrrs with all new ignition parts as well new hoses and fan belt. The motor has approximately 10 miles on it and is the Ford 4 cylinder flat head side valve with a 3 speed manual transmission. On 4-16-15, his receipt reads, hat a new clutch pressure plate, ew clutch disc and throw out bearing, uel pump kit, arb kit, otor mounts, ew 6 volt battery, tc.were addressed. The 2 receipts combined are over $6,000.00 which will accompany the title along with the vintage parts book. Mechanically solid with the exception of the cracked steering gear box which I inadvertently damaged and in search of.

The body is very solid withMINIMAL rust spots which are shown in photos (I'll post those pics asap). The front windshield is cracked and can be easily duplicated/cut due to it being flat. The front and rear window rubbers will need replacing with several outlets keeping them in stock being very accessable here in the US with one supplier located in So. Cal. All wood floor inserts androof bows are in good condition. It's interior needs are a headliner and some tlc on the passenger seat. All carpet pieces are present and in tact but very tiredand would begreat templates for reproducing. The vinyl top needs replacing along with the newrubber seal which is used to attach the vinyl, oth of which are readily available.During my dreams of making this a full on driver I checked on replacingall 5 tires and hooked up with an outlet in England who would make a package deal with 5new rim rubbers, tubes and tires for a little over $700, eing shippedhereto Colorado. The tires are a 4.50X17 and area rare size to find.

The original ignition switch, hich is a simple 3 wire system, as cut at some point in time by a previous owners sister as the keys had been lost and she was trying to do her brother a favor by taking the switch out and having a lock smith duplicate a key. The problem was that she had no idea how to remove the switch when in actuality the key number is on the face of the igition switch itself.Since it had no key and wires had been cut, o start the motor after it was rebuilt the mechanic wired in a simple toggle on/off switch when power is needed.I do have a book, ncluded, hich shows the basic wiring schematic. It was suggested that all lights would then operate once theelectrical system is in order. For this model of Anglia the turn signals ( trafficators ) are mounted within the side pillar uprights. When operated the arms would lift out and light up. They're similar to Volkswagens semaphores in earlier years.

I purchased the Anglia with the full intent of restoring to stock rather than cutting it up for a Resto Mod project just because it is 100% complete with the power plant having a complete rebuild. As it is, have prioritized my "in progress" projects and this one needs to find a new, aring, ome. HATE to list it for sale but . . . . She's SWEET!

I made mention of the crack in the steering gear box and in saying that, friend of mine is headed to England in a week and will be picking up that gear box while he's there.
