1969 Ford Torino GT 'Richard Petty' Edition finished in Petty Blue over Blue vinyl interior. This is an extremely rare and special car, of ONLY 5 ever produced. In 1969 Ford held a "Charlotte 600" special sweepstakes in which the winners would receive one of these 428 Cobra Jet Torinos, elivered to their doorstep by Richard Petty himself! Approximately 100 of these promotional Torinos were built but only five were optioned with the 428 Cobra Jet V8, his car is one of those five! The other promotional cars were built with the smaller 351 engine and were available at Ford dealerships across the country. It's believed that only 3 people were lucky enough to receive one of these unique cars, ith Richard Petty now owning two of the five 428 cars. These cars all came with a blank code on the data plate as you will see on this car. There were a few Petty cars that were assembled as tributes, ut they were built with the smaller and less powerful 351 V8s - this car here is the REAL DEAL with the 428 Cobra Jet.
Presented in its factory original condition. Decoded via Kevin Marti, he car was built in Atlanta and finished on March 11 1969. Options from the factory include the MATCHING NUMBERS 428 Cobra Jet V8 & column shift C-6 Automatic transmission, .25 conventional rear axle, ower steering, M radio, nd white sidwall tires. Also featuring; Cobra Jet hood scoop, ood pins, ront/rear bench seat, ual exit exhaust system, nd Ford floor mats.
Included with the car is the ORIGINAL build sheet, he Deluxe Marti report and copies, signed photo of Richard Petty, wo matching model cars - one unopened and one signed by Richard Petty on the windshield (pictured), nd various publications highlighting Richard Petty's Talladega Torino.
