THIS CAR IS BEING RELISTED AGAIN DUE TO ANOTHER NO COMMUNICATION BIDDER / NON-PAYER!PLEASE IF YOU ARE NOT SERIOUS DON'T WASTE MY TIME OR YOURS.
Hi and welcome to my auction. Up for sale today is my 1966 Ford T-Bird. This thunderbird was a awesome barn find. I have owned it for a while now of which I bought it from the ORIGINAL OWNER who had bought it at Diehl Ford here locally when brand new. The man was then put in the nursing home and hence I bought it at that point. He had stored it in a barn in Lynden, A. Sadly I am having to sell it but space and finances dictate what must be done.
This car is original. Has not been restored by me. This was a barn find! This would be a awesome purchase to restore and drive.
This car is finished in Honeydew Yellow for a color and is the town hardtop it is body 63C (2-Dr. Town hardtop (Blind Quarter Painted Roof, 966 only) ...according to the build plate on the car. This car is complete and I do have all the taillights to go with the car. I have started to do some of the work but am unable to proceed with doing more of the work.
This car runs and starts no problem. I have started to do some of the brake work and after the brake work was started now the brake pedal stays on the floors but the car stops well. You just have to pull the pedal up off the floor to get the car to move again. When I bought this car it had not be run in very long time and it wanted to run. It took me 10 mins to get it running. This was a fully loaded model and the interior is pretty usable. It will definitely needs some interior work but the seats are in pretty good shape. Will need a carpet kit and headliner. If it was me and I was restoring the car the interior is gonna be totally redone anyways. Even the fan for the heater works.
It has power windows and locks albeit think one of the windows needs a new regulator. The radio doesn't work. The speedo works. Transmission and engine runs good. The taillights are currently apart due to starting work on them. The sequential turn signal still works but the sockets that the bulbs sit in are needing work...there are a number of sockets that are split so the bulbs do not always make solid connection.
There is minor rust on the body...see the pics...mostly seems to be around wheel areas. There is a minor dent in the front passenger side panel. I do think there is a trim piece that is missing though...think there should be another Thunderbird emblem on the side.
This car comes with the stock 390 cu in (6.7L engine) and transmission.
This car also has the swing away steering wheel. I do believe it will also need window regulator.
THIS IS A GREAT BARN FIND NEEDING SOMEONE TO LOVE IT AND RESTORE IT. IF IT WAS ME...NEEDS RESTORATION.
This car is sold as is where is. No warranty expressed or implied. Any questions feel free to ask.
