1978 Ford F150 Ranger XLT Supercab Shortbox ‘Trailer Special’

A one-family owned … an original, nmolested ’78 F150 Ranger XLT with low mileage*. This truck is a bit unusual in that it is a Supercab shortbox variation with the ‘Trailer Special’ package (10,000 lb GVW towing package including a larger radiator, xternal transmission cooler, ower steering cooler, ow ratio no-spin differential, ual batteries, tc., tc.).

Adult owned since new, ever abused (purchased new by my father in 1978 at McLennan Motors in New Westminster, his has always been a BC truck.) Always on synthetic oil and Ford filters. Minor engine mods on the original 400 cu in engine including roller rocker arms, acobs ignition, delbrock manifold and carb, nd electric fans. Runs strong and drives straight, lways dependable.

Ready for a full restoration, riginal paint but has panel rust in the usual places on these trucks. Still a perfect candidate for an easy restoration project, verything including all of the body mouldings are here on this truck so you won’t need to search for any of those now really hard-to-find parts. Ready to tow; comes with brake control, itch, qualizer bars, way control, tc. (not pictured but included with truck). Also included is the period-correct fiberglass canopy with boat rack (we used the rack for a 12' aluminum fishing boat).

My intention was always to restore this truck, ut selling property now so everything must go including a 1987 Turbocoupe (5 speed) in good condition, 1983 Turbocoupe (5 speed) in exceptionally clean and straight condition and a 1991 Taurus SHO ‘Plus’ also in exceptionally clean and straight condition (see other listings, f you’re a collector looking to buy multiple cars please call Ron directly for details at phone number below).

Located close to both the US border and to the Abbotsford airport, an easily arrange to show this car at the airport or see it in Langley BC (north of Seattle, ashington). Vintage vehicles over 15 years old are a simple importation into the US, ill assist with the necessary paperwork to make this an easy transaction.
