Description

This 1968 Ford Country Squire has been transformed into what I call my Rat Rod Surf Wagon. The 390 engine has been rebuilt with numerous speed equipment added. Since rebuild it has accumulated right at 20000 miles. The engine was bored .30 over and an up graded RV cam added. The engine has an aluminum water pump, allory distributor, SD ignition, dlebrock Performer intake and Holly 770 carb. It has a through the hood air scoop.
The C6 Transmission was rebuilt and a shift kit and TCI 2500 stall converter added. The exhaust is 3 inch and exits in front of the back wheels. It has hooker long tube headers and Flowmaster type mufflers and sounds great. The body and frame are very solid. No rust in floor pans at all. There is some rust at bottom of doors but has been treated and stopped and adds to theme of Car. The brakes and suspension have been rebuilt where necessary. A heavy duty sway bar added to the rear axle. A new steering gear box has been added. The front rotor have some pulsating so they probably need to be turned. The car rides and drives great. New weather stripping has been installed on all doors. The window felts have been replaced too. It has new carpet and the front bench seat has been replaced with bucket seats. They don't match the back seat but look ok. A console was built and modern radio with CD and USB port added with front door and rear speakers. I replaced the original dash pad with a new old stock dash pad. The air conditioner needs to be completed. The evaporator is in the car and is a good one. I checked and cleaned it getting ready to hook it up. The car needs a compressor, rackets, ondenser and lines to complete. The paint is completely weathered original and I added a clear coat to it. Richard and Aaron of the Fast and Loud show and Gas Monkey Garage have signed the dash. They did not build the car. The period correct surf board goes with the car. This car has been on three Hot Rod Power Tours since 2012 If you have any question please call me at 903-736-0158. I can send you more pictures if you want. The buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping. Thank you.
