When this '40 Ford rolled off the assembly it was a car with a function and it fulfilled that function very well - nothing fancy. However, his Deluxe coupe has received a total street rod restoration including a broad range of mechanical and cosmetic enhancements. Independent Technologies, nc. designed a custom chassis that incorporates GM front chassis components from the Monte Carlo and Camaro. Suspension tuning is handled by adjustable Aldan Eagle shocks (six settings) and the resulting 'old-school' rake is perfect. Chassis upgrades also include power steering and power disc/drum brakes. The Dark Garnet Red Metallic (2010) paint gives the classic Ford a refined look. An elegant tan and burgundy cloth/vinyl interior incorporates distinctive accents, wrapped 3-spoke tilt wheel and a vintage dash that holds a full set of custom gauges. Plush bucket seats, /C, ower windows and an AM/FM/CD stereo system combine to create a comfortable, tylish interior. Horsepower comes from a rebuilt (2008) 350ci Chevy small block with aluminum intake, -barrel carburetor, ustom exhaust and an abundance of chrome. The transmission is a GM 700R automatic that provides torque to a 9" Ford differential with 2:90 gears and hardened Moser axles. Painted steel wheels with Ford Deluxe caps and trim rings complete the drivetrain. This handsome street rod will soon make its next Blue Oval fan very proud. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
