1966 Ford Mustang convertible + parts
History:
I have maintained and “updated” this Mustang for 40+ years but I have the original parts, xcept the hub caps which I cannot find, f you want to restore it. I also have parts from a 1966 Mustang that was converted from a 6 cylinder engine to a 289 V8.
Comments:
I washed the car but, fter seeing the pictures I took with my digital camera on my large computer screen, should have cleaned the bottom too.
Everything works, ncluding the original AM radio, xcept the windshield washer and the horns. I disconnected the horn wires at the steering wheel because the 3 small rubber pieces separating the 2 electrical connection plates have deteriorated.
The engine was rebuilt in June 1998, bout 11,300 miles ago. It has electronic ignition and runs well.
The 55,000 mileage warranted tires were bought in October 2002 and have about 9,300 miles on them. The spare tire has never been on the ground.
The battery was bought at Wal-Mart on August 20, 014.
VIN:
I could not find any history at carfax.com or other websites for VIN 6T08T233104.
Included:
A clear title plus other paperwork.
Original owner’s manual.
Two key sets.
Plus some other spare parts not in the photos.
Payment:
Winning bidder will be required to pay $500 non-refundable down payment within 3 working days of winning. Remainder of sale price is due within 14 days of sale. All funds must clear prior to release of vehicle and title.
I plan to let the auction end (06-30-2016) before selling but I reserve the right to end the auction early as the vehicle is for sale locally.

A couple of people have asked about rust issues:
I don't think there are rust issues with the floors or trunk - see photo 14.
On the left side of the car there is a small rust area in front of the left rear wheel just above the bottom chrome strip and a small rust area at the bottom front of the door - see photos 1 and 3.
On the right side of the car there are smaller rust areas in the same places as on the left side - see photo 2.
I don't think there are rust issues on the bottoms of the doors - see photos 8 and 9.
The major rust issues are in the bottoms of the rear quarter panels - see photos 21 and 22.
And there are 40+ years of paint chips. The car has been parked in a garage most of the 40+ years. I have not had any body work done to the car. I try to maintain my vehicles well (I’m still using a 33 year old riding lawnmower) but I don’t do body and paint work which I think is a real skill.
The car has never been in an accident but it was hit in the right rear quarter panel at a grocery store parking lot in Charlotte, st1>NC. I waited two hours but the police never came and I could not find the person that did it so I did not file an insurance claim.
I will send higher resolution pictures than those on eBay if you will send your email address to: billycdavis@hotmail.com
