Up for sale is my 2000 Ford Lightning. I bought it about a year and a half ago as a project. It continues as a work in progress but it is now mechanically sound. I wouldn't hesitate to drive it across the country and would be willing to deliver it, lease message me for arrangements.
It had an exhaust leak, uckily a friend directed me to a guy who had switched out his stock exhaust from the headers back for aftermarket pieces at just 8,000 miles. The exhaust was just about perfect but I sanded it a bit and sprayed it with VHT flameproof coating.
Next, he truck would barely stop. The rear brake lines had rusted out. Ford did not use stainless line like they do in the front so both rear lines were replaced. Brake pedal feel improved, ut was still weak. Next all 4 brake caliper hoses were replaced. This improved the feel dramatically. Finally, ll 4 rotors and pads were replaced for good measure.
Next I had a front spring break which ruined the stance and alignment. Both were replaced with Moogs, hile in there, he shocks were replaced with KYB Monomax units.
3 of 4 O2 sensors were replaced with NTK units. All 8 spark plugs were replaced with NGK TR6's. Threw in an aftermarket K&N Air Filter. It also have a class 2 tow hitch.
It has a valid NYS inspection through March 2017. I have included a list of the part numbers and prices in the photos. All of this work has been done in the last 5,000 miles. I have two other vehicles so this didn't get much use which is why I am selling it.
