***Ebay removed our previous listing a day early without explanation. This is a relisting. ****
Up for sale is this pristine 1976 Ford F150 pickup. This one owner truck is an absolute time capsule. Garaged since new, the owner never drove the truck in the winter or even in the rain according to his family. In fact he drove the truck once to work in 1976 resulting in a co-worker opening a car door into the right bed side. He promptly had the whole bed side repainted and never drove the truck to work ever again! This is a 40 year old truck with only 26K miles!
**The VIN on this truck it was the first off the assembly line in 1976**
Body: This truck wears no rust, rot or filler. Originally factory undercoating still covers the frame as do the factory wax marks. As I mentioned previously the right bedside was repainted by the local Ford dealer in 1976 to repair damage to the paint from an errant car door. Cab corners, rockers, floors and body mounts are perfect. Nothing has ever been placed or hauled in the bed with exception of a pile of blankets we found in the truck. The bed floor and walls are pristine as is the tailgate. This truck wears West Coast style mirrors and a "Camper Special" rear bumper both which were ordered as on add on's from the dealer.
Interior & Glass: This is a bare bones truck with a simple rubber floor mat and vinyl bench seat. The interior shows no rips, tears, stains nor fading. The bench seat is in perfect shape and shows no signs of age or saggy springs. The glass in the truck is perfect and the windows roll up and down as they should.
Mechanical: The 300- Inline 6 runs like aSwisswatch. The motor runs quietly and does not smoke, sputter or burn oil. The 3 speed on the column goes through the gears effortlessly. The truck drives like a dream. We replaced the original bias ply tires with brand new radials.
This truck is an absolute gem. You will be hard pressed to find to a nicer original example of this vintage Ford pickup. We have both the original title and bill of sale. Please direct any questions to Josh at 860 209-3990
