Here we have my pride any joy up for sale. This is a custom built 1941 Ford pickup. As you can see from the pics, this is a highly customized street rod. It has a small block Chevy engine, TH350 transmission and 10bolt rearend. Independent front suspension is disc brakes and rack/pinion steering. Rear suspension is ladder bar with coil springs for a smooth ride and underbody power brakes. Truck also has a Walker copper radiator, AC, tilt wheel, VDO gauges and many other items as shown in the photos. The body is original steel except the rear fenders (fiberglass). The bed floor is book matched solid oak boards, not cheap plywood. The rear of the bed has been completely enclosed and smoothed as shorn. Paint is copper/orange pearl base coat clear and is pretty nice. The top has been chopped about four inches and the interior is grey tweed. The only issue I know with this truck is the gas gauge does not work (all parts including the Tanks Inc, plastic tank are new). I've put less than 50 miles on it since finishing and have not encountered any "bugs" aside from the gas gauge. There are no seat belts in the truck but there is a bar welded under the seat to mount them so shouldn't be hard to add them. I will not ship this truck, I would prefer local pickup, it is in dry storage in the town close to where I live, or you arrange all shipping and I will grant access for loading. I have a current illinois title in my name for this truck. I never liked the cheap looking painted steel wheels on it by hey, that should be the first thing you do to make it yours!I expect at 500, non refundable deposit at the auction close and payment/pickup arrangements made within 5 days. Fell free to ask any questions and as always, Happy Bidding!!
