Never had an accident! The title is as clean as a baby’s bottom! No liens or loans, I own this car.
I am the original owner of this MK3 Ford Focus SE. This was my first car I bought right after college. I am selling because I just got a new job, and just moved into the city; and now I don’t need to drive anymore!! My new commute is a 10 minute bike ride!
My old job was in Alpharetta, old commute was 50 minutes, which explains why the mileage is a bit high.
My average fuel economy was always around 29/30 mpg!
-Mobil1 Full synthetic oil and Mobil1 oil filter changes EVERY 4,000 miles, (I am a huge stickler for good fresh oil.)
-Only use 93 octane/premium gas, and none of that cheap QT/CostCo crap. Either Shell, BP, or Chevron.
-Brand new Yokohama tires installed at 40,xxxx. Literally, one month ago, bought/installed at Discount Tire, I’ve still got the receipt laying around. (cost me $500 btw)
-Factory service intervals, besides oil changes, done at my local Ford Dealership.
-Garage kept, at home and at work
Adult owned and adult driven. Runs like new. The motor still pulls great, transmission is nice and tight (well, as good as any economy car transmission).
This motor and manual transmission combo is very fun to drive.
Would make for a cheap, fun, and reliable for anyone on a budget.
BEFORE YOU GO, why you should seriously consider this Focus w/ a manual transmission over other automatic cars. These types of gas-sipping motors are very efficient, but don’t make a whole lot of power. Moreover, any car person will tell you how slow automatic transmissions and their ECU’s are, especially with a mass produced economy car.
These two factors: small motor + automatic transmission = lag.
It's a losing combination, imo.
With a manual transmission, you won’t have to worry about power when merging on the highway, or moving through lanes. You will know EXACTLY which gear you’re in, EXACTLY where your power is, and EXACTLY what you need to do to get that power.
