Hello all, allow me to introduce you to my mighty steed: Le Monstrueux! She is a pure bred 2005 Ford Focus ZX3 Hatchback.
I call her Le Monstrueux (French for monstrous) because she is a fierce and mighty beast that has carried me every where. Up mountains, down back roads and through the desert she has faithfully deposited me back home every time. Unfortunately, my trusty sidekick can not go on my next adventure to the Lands of the Far East (I'm moving to South Korea in a few months) and I must sell her. She'd be perfect as a work car for some one who needs to keep a lot of stuff with them or as a trusty side kick to get your newly minted college student on the road to their future (lots of cargo space in the back, especially with the back seats folded flat), or some one that just wants a solid, reliable car that can get you where you want to go.
Positives:- Manual 5 speed: 30-32 MPG in city/ 32-35 MPG on Highway- Runs and Drives Excellent, shifts and accelerates smoothly. Brakes are solid.- 2nd owners, purchased in 2007 from certified used dealer- New stereo with auxiliary input for iPod or iPhone- New shocks and struts, new fuel pump, new rims and tires in the last year.- Registration Good Until 2017.
Hiccups:- Misplaced the title. Already filled out all of the paper work and have it ready to go, along with a bill of sale for a replacement title and a title transfer; will cost the same as just a title transfer.
Everything else is about what you'd expect on an 11 year old vehicle. Exteriors decent: no rust, some minor chips and scratches (from loading and unloading snow boarding and camping equipment). The interior is also pretty clean, I like to keep Le Monstrueux clean and well maintained.
Additional Items: She comes with a spare tire, a jack, a lug wrench, brand new high quality chains, and a DC adapter with two USB charge ports (in lieu of the lighter which never was included in the car). I also have a TomTom GPS with a windshield mount (unit comes off the mount for hiking and serious climbers who use GPS devices for navigation) that I can throw in for free if you want it (works great and perfect for going out in those areas where cell service cuts out and you can't use Google Maps).
Also have 4 matching 18" Momo rims - I curbed one of the rims while turning a corner in N Portland (and am still angry at myself for it). These can be included for an additional $250 total (original cost:150/ea. I've been told the curbed rim can be repaired).
LOCAL PICK-UP ONLY (With in 60 miles of the location on this ad).
