Description |
---|
Very original first year 1966 Ford Bronco U15 Wagon.
Uncut and unmodified. Runs, drives, starts, stops without issues. 4 wheel transfer case works well. 6 cyl engine. 3 Speed Column shift. Front bench seat with the factory bulkhead. She's had an exterior respray in her original factory Springtime Yellow. Lights, blinkers, brake lights, heater, wipers all work. Factory "radio delete" model. Doors posts and strikers are solid - no sag. Frame is solid. Sold new in Texas and spent most of her life there. I just had my mechanic put in new battery, starter solenoid, starter and cleaned up some of the wiring between battery, starter, and alternator. Frame is solid, only surface rust on frame and suspension.
Lots of the tough to find original '66 parts, including: Eyebrow grille, one year only 66 hubcaps (currently a set listed on eBay for $800),Dash knobs, Tailgate, Budd body "rain gutter" on driver floor, Horn ring with "Property of Ford Motor Company", silver dash and door inserts, original transfer case shift boot, transfer case knob, etc.Issues:Overall paint is very good, but there's a couple areas with bubbles and runs. Front driver and passenger floors are rusted.Previous owner applied a sound mat / adhesive on front floors and transmission tunnel that I've been removing but there's still work to do. I just cover it up with an old F100 floor mat. Light hail damage on hood and top of hardtop, body work on front passenger fender that shows through paint, Passengerdoor does not open from inside.I'm a Bronco collector, and have tried to represent as accurately as possible. Please ask any questions prior to bidding. Listed locally, so I may have to cancel auction early.
