2002 Explorer "It goes when it snows!"

Up for sale is my 2002 Ford Explorer XLT. This 4x4 will get you through the winter for less $$ than the down payment on a new one! It is basically loaded (leather. sunroof. power everything. keyless entry. 3rd row seat. auto headlights. etc. etc). all original and everything works. It even has floor mats and a working key fob! The engine makes some noise (mostly when you first start it). but starts and runs fine with plenty of power. I am currently driving it on a daily basis. I recently took it for an E-Check (a vehicle emissions test required in Cuyahoga County. Ohio) and it passed easily. The transmission and four wheel drive work fine. One valve cover has a slight oil leak. I just had a battery installed. The odometer is digital and does not display; however. if you give the dashboard a good smack. the odometer will display faintly. I was told that a solder joint on the circuit board that runs the odometer commonly comes loose. causing this problem. The front tires have about 70% tread left and the back ones have about 30%. The truck has a tow hitch. The body isn't perfect. but it is straight. with some expected dings. scratches. a crack in the plastic bumper cover. etc. The rocker panels were badly rusted. and have been partially replaced. They are cosmetic. not structural. and you can't see the rusted areas until you open the doors. The bottoms of the doors have a little bit of surface rust. but overall. they are in pretty darned good shape; so is the tailgate. I have a clean title in hand. This vehicle is being sold as-is. with no warranty. of course. After all. you are buying a 13 year old truck with over 200K miles for $2. 00! On the other hand. a 2015 Explorer XLT 4wd STARTS at $33. 95! Cash buyers and no trades. please. This vehicle is being sold locally. so I reserve the right to end this eBay ad early.
