I bought the truck from the original owners’ nephew. The truck was purchased new form Butterfield Ford in my neighboring town of Riverton UT. It was a custom order combination according to the nephew. The dealer advertising sticker is still on the tailgate in great condition. The original owners bought the truck for camping. They put a camper on it and kept it parked under the carport. They only used the truck when they were going camping. It was eventually sold to their nephew who also kept the truck in a carport. He had a baby and had college tuition to pay so I purchased the truck from him. I’ve owned the truck for just over a year and put about 4000 trouble-free miles on it.
The truck has a glovebox full of receipts for oil changes and registrations going back to when it was new. The original owners’ nephew put headers on the truck and dual exhaust out the side. He also told me he replaced the master cylinder and had the brakes done. It stops like the brakes are brand new. I put new tires on the truck and replaced the starter and starter solenoid. Other than that, she’s absolutely original.
The pictures make the truck look a little nicer than it looks up close, as I had just finished waxing it. The black paint still holds a great shine. It looks new in places, and shows wear through to the red oxide primer in other places. There are a couple small dents in the hood as can be seen in pics and video. The truck has some rust bubbling through the paint around the rear wheel openings, but absolutely NO RUST ROT. Floors are solid, rockers are solid, everything is solid. Body is extremely straight, and the stainless is in amazing condition.
Interior is also 100% original. There is an area on the drivers side of the seat wear the seat cover has cracked. It has not cracked all the way through, just the outer layer has flaked off a little bit. No other rips or tears on the seat. Door panels are great and show just enough wear to show they are original, dash pad has one crack down the center covered up by the dash mat. All dash lights work, gauges all work, everything works 100%.
Truck currently has an exhaust leak thanks to the cheap headers. I didn’t fix that issue. Has no other problems to report. You can drive this truck anywhere, just not very fast. The 4 speed trans is comfortable at a max of about 65mph. Low gear will gladly pull your house down the street if needed.
You will not be disappointed with this truck, and I doubt you will ever see another original in this condition. Clear title in hand, ready to go.
