Vehicle Overview Talladega is a rare car that brings back exciting memories of the fabulous NASCAR aero-wars of the late 60s and early 70s on the Super Speedways. In order to comply with NASCAR rules, a minimum of 500 of these specially modified Talladegas had to be produced and available to the general public. Manufactured in January and February of 1969 Ford used its Atlanta plant to produce 750 Talladega package cars, with this one being the second to last produced. The exterior of the Talladega is very unique with its special aerodynamic-design grille, hood, fender and front bumper layout. This slick body design helps improve performance during high-speed operation by reducing drag and front end lift. This Ford Talladega, finished in Royal Maroon, features a "Q Code" 428ci Cobra Jet that produces 335 horsepower and is mated to a C6 Select-Shift Cruise-O-Matic transmission. It has received a frame-off, nut and bolt restoration to exacting standards. This rare muscle car features cast aluminum valve covers, engine oil cooler, extra cooling package, 55-ampere alternator, heavy duty battery, power steering, power front disc brakes, argent styled wheels with chrome trim rings, competition suspension with ultra-heavy-duty front and rear springs and shock absorbers, extra-heavy-duty stabilizer bar, and color keyed racing mirrors. A very rare and unique muscle car with Deluxe Marti Report documentation in excellent physical and mechanical condition, this Talladega is ready to show or go.
