Description

2005 Ford F-250 Super Duty XL Extended Cab. 8 Ft Long Bed Up for sale is a 2005 Ford F-250 Super Duty 4x2 (rear-drive). extended cab (rear doors open). with an 8 foot bed. The truck has 146. 05 miles. it runs and drives. It is a 5. 4-liter Triton gas V8. I put a newer (used) transmission in it that only had 30k miles on that trans. it has probably been driven 100 miles since the trans was put in. It was filled with the correct Motorcraft trans fluid. The brakes are good. it has a fresh oil change with recommended synthetic-blend oil and a new engine air filter. It has remote start with two working key fobs. The battery is not very old. A/C is cold and works very well. It comes with an electric trailer brake controller installed. Tires are ok. the driver's rear has a pretty slow leak. I bought the truck to run home improvement errands and occasionally haul a trailer. My wife wanted a 4x4 for the winter. so we now have a different truck. The F-250 is in fair condition. The body has dents and scratches. the windshield is cracked. The interior is in OK shape. It has vinyl seats and there is some seat foam worn off on the driver seat back bolster. I have a cover on it. The interior cleans up ok. but has areas that will not polish up from its previous duties. As I mentioned. it runs and drives but the engine could probably use new cam phasers. which was an issue with these engines. When it is warm. sometimes it will run rough and chug at a stop light I believe because the cam phasers are not changing to “idle” speed. It once had a misfire in the #8 cylinder and I put in a new Motorcraft spark plug and Motorcraft ignition coil. Probably should have new plugs in the rest of the engine and I will include seven more Motorcraft plugs with the sale. Please remember it has dents. dings. and has been used as a truck. It is being sold as-is. and is up for sale locally so the auction may end early. I’ve tried to describe it so anyone interested knows what they are going to come and see. Please email me with any questions. thanks.
