1962 Ford Galaxie 500 Base 3.7L

1962 Ford Galaxie 500 6 cylinder 3. 7 liter 3 speed on the column with overdrive transmission. The car has 46. 00 miles according to the odometer and the MVD title. It is a driver with good brakes. transmission is good no noise. no oil leaks. but you must come to a complete stop for first gear. the engine runs good but does smoke a little. not from the tailpipe but from the bypass. I will list the items that need attention and if its not on the list that means it is good and in working order. The carburetor will need new gaskets. it will need a windshield wiper switch. the horn needs repair by the steering wheel. it will need the overdrive cable replaced. at this time because of the cable I am not sure if the overdrive works or not. when you pull on the cable it feels like it is not connected to the mechanism that engages the overdrive. If you pull on the cable it will come out of switch. the cigarette lighter works but needs to be tightened from the back. these are the only things wrong with the car. Everything else is operable. I have been driving this car for the last two weeks and it is a very smooth ride. the interior is original and in very good condition including the headliner.
