1997 F250 Crew Cab 4x4 Short Bed HD (CCSB). 460 Gas (Not Diesel). Auto Transmission. 87. xx original miles. I bought it from original owner about 11 years ago in Boise. ID and drove it home to southern California. Truck is in amazing condition. only thing updated is brand new suspension front and back. new springs. shocks. bushings etc. Spent over $3000. Has about a 2” lift as a result. Wanted a better ride quality. Brand new water pump done by Ford Dealer which cost $900 about 6 months ago. Other than that. its all original mechanically. Original paint. Truck has had nothing but synthetic fluids in it for the last 25k Miles. Has original Alcoa wheels and new tires. Had major tune up in the last two years (new wires. plugs. fluids etc. ). It’s never left me stranded me or let me down. I would drive it across the country today without hesitation. I bought it originally to tow an aluminum skiff that my dad bought for himself (overkill?). but he sold the boat a year later. and I haven’t towed anything since. I drive the truck very little. When I bought it 11 years ago it had around 56. xx miles on it. That’s less than 3. 00 miles per year. Used for family camping outings and home depot runs essentially. I drive it like a grandpa since I intended to keep it forever and because gas is expensive. Typically I run it at 65MPH on the freeways. Non-smoker owned. interior is a 9 out of 10 with some minor wear here and there. No rips holes or tears. Has newer AM/FM CD player with stock speaker system that works great. It came with a CB radio. but took it out. The CB sat on a shelf that is above the visors. The shelf is still installed. Headliner is perfect. dash perfect and has sliding rear window with factory installed tint. The dash mat came with the truck. I have never looked under it. I assume it is pristine. The left rear window stopped going up and down a few years ago and that lock is sticky but works. Headlights and turn signals were recently replaced with new ones since the old ones had hazed. Paint is almost perfect with no peeling. There is a little bit of rust on the roof where the window meets the roof. See pictures. There is a 1. 5inch hole in the roof where the CB antenna was installed by the original owner. Rust developed. I grinded it. primed it. and patched/sealed it with a bituthane and silicone. Seems to be workingto keep out the rain. There is one small dent in back of drivers side rear wheel well that is barely noticeable. There is one dent in the tailgate and a scratch here or there. See photos. I have taken pics as best I can of the body issues. There is only one door ding that is hard to locate. If you know these trucks. you know how desirable these are and how rare it is to find one that is in as good condition that is all stock with as low of miles as this one. You also know that many of them have over 200. 00 miles on them. Had planned on lifting it and then “modding” it out. but I think it is too big for our needs/use. The custom ladder rack was sand blasted and powder coated a year ago. My loss is your gain on the money invested into that and the brand new suspension.
