2012 Mustang GT/CS

Red with black leather interior. 5.0L V8, 6 speed manual. Fully loaded with heated leather seats and a Shaker stereo, sync, and Sirius satellite,with 39,000 miles. The interior is in perfect condition. The exterior is near perfect. There are only a few tiny stone chips in the paint. There are no dents or scrapes. The tires are like new. Two of the wheels on the drivers side have a small amount of curb rash. The car was just inspected but did not require emissions inspection in the county where the inspection was done. So it has a new Pa. state inspection but no emissions inspection. I don’t see any reason for it not to pass emissions. The engine appears completely stock with a new oil change.

Upgrades - The suspension is not completely stock. The following is a list of modifications that I was able to identify. There may be other modifications I did not or could not identify. There was a short throw shifter installed, it appears to be a Barton unit. The front and rear springs were changed out for lowering springs. They appear to be RTR sold by American Muscle. I’m going by the color of the part which is silver powder coat. The springs lower the car about 1 inch. The front struts and rear shocks are original Ford. The rear end housing has a SWAR BAR installed. This part is made by Swarr Automotive and sold by American Muscle. The part is designed to eliminate wheel hop and assist with traction. The radiator support is aftermarket. The exhaust is a cat back Magnaflow system. The rear gears appear to be 3.73. Original was 3.31.

Test Drive - The car is rated at 412 horsepower and 390 ft/lbs of torque. When you mash the throttle you can feel all that power. It runs strong and smooth. The AC is cold, the stereo works as it should as does all the interior lights and accessories. The suspension upgrades give the car excellent handling. The trade off is a stiff ride. The shifter works very well but is noisy at high RPMs. It does not have the sound deadener and anti vibration bushing the stock Ford shifter had. So you have very solid, positive shifts but the trade off is some noise. The rear gear appears to have been swapped out for 3.73 gears. With the addition of the SWAR BAR the and stiffening up the rear axle you again loose the anti vibration and sound deadening Ford built into the car. In summary, this is a beautiful car that runs, looks, and sounds excellent. It has some performance upgrades that give it a stiff and noisy ride compared to stock. However the handling and performance are far better than stock.
