You are looking at a very fine example of a 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang. Rare Car. First year of the mustangs. This car came equipped from the factory with the 260 V8 Engine and this one is all original to this car with dates on the intake, block and heads corresponding to when the car was built.
This car runs and drives great and has a power top that works flawlessly. It comes down and goes up very easily. The top on the car is new.
The engine and transmission are both original and the engine sounds great and thetransmissionshiftsmoothly. Engine slightly smokes on startup but Ibelieveits a carburetor issue and that it needs rebuilt.
The car has had a repaint and honestly in order for the car to be show quality I would have it repainted.
The car has had some metal work done over the last 50 years. Floor pans have been replaced, lower quarters have been patched, and the cowl has had some metal work done.
The frame rails front and rear are perfect and solid. The fender aprons are solid. The rocker panels are solid. The trunk panels are also in amazing shape.
All of the lights and wipers etc work, turn signals etc. Brakes work great.
Car has power steering and it works great.
Interior is overall very nice. Seats have some natural wear but they are 50 years old and original. Dash pad has a cover on it and the original pad does have a couple cracks in it.
This is a 2 owner car.
