1941 Ford Coupe Hot Rod Rat Rod

This car is a ORIGINAL customHot Rod! One of the few left in the world. This 41 Ford was built in 1961 and its whole life livedin California. Its a real hotrod! This car has a lot of amazing history. I was told Hot wheels used this car to design some of their zoomy 1/64 hot rodcars. Here I go with the info I know about the car... The front grill is from a 1941 Chevy, the headlights french'd, the taillights are from a 1950 Shoebox and french'd, 1951mercury rear bumper, complete custom wedge chop top which is very hard to do and hard to make it look right. 4" body drop over the frame. As you can see this car has the look! Everywhere we go people stop and stare. This car was taken apart and re-built again in 1986 at which time the guysinstalled a 1977 police interceptor chassis under it with the sway bars, new axles, new bushings and all. It handles like a DREAM. It has power steering and powerDisc brakes front and rear, it has a 351 Windsor built police interceptor motor with lots of chrome and goodies. Fires right up and idles smooth. Aluminum radiator with electric fan, it cruises all day at 190* coolant temps. The exhaust has Y pipes so you can either have the exhaust run out the rear for cruising and quiet or you can dump the exhaustout of the sides for a mean loud sound. This car runs and drives amazing. It stops on a dime. All of the interior has been recently done March 2016. It has the new interior smell.It has new paint with lots of clear coat done June 2016. Not a show car, its a daily driven hotrod. The side windows work and all the glass is there. Both slide glass pieces were just replaced last week.All the door handles work and the doors open and close real tight. The trunk interior is all new and the trunk latch works with a button on the dash. It has original Mooneyes gauges, Mooneyes Catch can, awesome stereo system that plays off your cell phone or any music device. The stereo is LOUD. This car also has a complete front and rear Air Ride system so you can adjust the car height as you want it. No leaks and no cheap parts. Viair compressors used with Viair tanks. Air ride solenoids, switches and Air Ride gauge to let you know how much pressure is in the bags. This car will lay on the ground completely and tuck the tires inside the fenders for a slick awesome look! It still has the old original spot light that was first installed in the 1960s. The original dash is all there and is rumored to have been pinstriped by VonDutch and his buddies back in the 60s. Nobody knows for sure, but no one over all the years has ever touched the dash since the 60s when it was painted and pinstriped. It has a custom dash cover that pops in with buttons to protect the dash while the car is sitting. All the tires are great shape, this car cruises the freeways 70-80mph like a new corvette.
