2005 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor- P71 STREET APPEARANCE PACKAGE

Up for bidding is my 2005 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor with the Street Appearance Package.

This particular unmarked car was owned by our federal government and issued to a single agent during its time in service for the FBI office in Newark, New Jersey. Not only do you have the assurance of the meticulous maintenance that the government puts into its fleet, but also that it was cared for by one driver the entire time it was in service. I have personally driven the car from Columbus to New York City and back 3 times, and it does fantastic on those multiple-hour road trips. It’s a true highway cruiser.

This P71 is NOT the typical tired ex-police cruiser on the market- it has never had a lightbar, pushbar, spotlight, cage, or decals and has NEVER been used for any sort of patrol duty. It is a 100% smoke free vehicle.

Options on this unit: upgraded comfortable cloth seats (50/50 split), cruise control, traction control, upgraded rear differential (axle code X5), adjustable foot pedals, front and side airbags, and power windows/locks/mirrors.

Recent Preventative Maintenance includes:

• 4 Newer Pirelli P4 tires (8 to 9/32 tread)
• Fresh fill of Castrol Mercon V Transmission fluid + a new Motorcraft filter
• Fresh oil change of 5w20 Pennzoil + a new Motorcraft filter
• Fresh fill of Castrol Mercon V + Motorcraft friction modifier in the power steering system
• New Accessory Belt installed
  
• New Purolator PureOne Air Filter installed
• All recalls completed by Mathews Ford on April 15th, 2016

Under the hood: The engine runs strong; extremely responsive and produces the satisfying power you expect and demand from a Police Interceptor powertrain. The transmission shifts firmly and smoothly. An upgraded Autocraft Gold battery from Advance Auto Parts is installed. The stainless steel dual exhaust and police-spec aluminum driveshaft are both in good shape. The undercarriage is clean.

Strobes are built into the factory headlights and it is pre-wired, they could easily be used again if the vehicle were to be put back into service.

Exterior: Original Arizona Beige paint shines up nice, minimal scratches/flaws overall. No rust on this one! Chrome wheel covers shine up nicely. Tires are Pirilli P4 all-season mounted on the Ford factory heavy duty police-spec wheels. Brakes are in good shape and stop this full size car quickly. Suspension handles great. Notable cosmetic spot is a ding behind the rear passenger door- looks like it may have been hit with a golf ball. (see pictures) Other than that, the paint is in nice shape overall for being a pre-owned vehicle.

Interior: Clean and in nice shape throughout, seats have no rips or tears. Equipped with the desirable 50/50 split front seats with separate armrests for each passenger. Full black carpeting throughout. All buttons, switches, and knobs work as they should. A/C blows ICE COLD and heater hot, all fan speeds work as well as all doors for the air ducts. Radio works perfectly and speakers sound great. Equipped with the super-bright “ticket writer” dome light. No warning lights on! Drivers’ side carpet does have some wear (appears to be from heels and a cut from wiring installation.)

Trunk is clean and has a full size spare and jack inside. There are a couple of cuts in the trunk carpeting from where the strobe control module equipment was installed (the wiring runs to here as well so another control module could easily be installed, if desired.)

Both original Ford keys are included.

If you win the auction and you are not able to pick up the vehicle within 2 weeks, I would be happy to store it for you free of charge, if you place down a small deposit.

I am a private owner and not a dealer like many sellers here on eBay, so there will be no surprise fees upon your purchase. I enjoy this car but unfortunately I’m moving to New York and keeping it is not an option.
