Very rare color combination and option list, thousands of dollars had been spent to buy NOS parts from Ford in the early 80's to make this restoration, labor of love come together. It is hard to describe the amount of work that has been already completed on this Mustang.
This Mustang is a 1967, and was originally Burnt Amber with the Convertible Luxury Interior, with console, in Saddle, power steering, power brakes, tinted glass, power top, wire wheel covers, and a factory AM/FM radio, a 6 cylinder Mustang
The gentleman that was restoring the car had all of work done in 1980-1981, and purchased all of the parts from the local Ford Dealer, he bought every nut bolt, screw, washer, from Ford, very few reproduction parts. He kept receipts and a full spread sheet of what was bought and work that was done, I am sure I am going to forget something, but he was on his way to build a prize winning Pony. The dust and dirt you see on the car was from the last 35 years of dry storage.
All body work has been done with Ford Parts, new quarters, floors torque boxes, there is no rust in the body, even used Ford Quarter panels. Some minor finishing and the body is ready for a show paint job. There is no rust in the body of this Mustang
The engine, transmission and rear were rebuilt, he even rebuilt the springs using all Ford parts, re-cored radiator, new alternator, power steering, brake booster was redone, carburetor is new although it has a 70 tag on it, the little tags from Ford have been re-installed as well, the one on the block, the one on the power steering. The engine has not been started, thecomplete drivetrainis all installed, even as far as the Ford muffler and exhaust system.
The interioris theconvertible deluxe luxury in Saddle, the seats are perfect, theplastic trim from the deluxe interior had some cracks, there is an extra seat with the trim. Thedeluxe door panels will needreplacement, I have allof the hard to find trim for the deluxe interior, including a NOS deluxe dash surround, in the box.
The convertible top frame is in verygood condition, and the top motor is there, it will need replacement, I have been through the parts, andit appearsthere is nothing missing except for the windshield. All other glass is there, and the frames have been re-chromed, and the windshield trim has been polished, the rear convertible moldings havebeen chromed as well. The wire wheelscovers have been restored as well. and all new tires, they are belted, it was the early 80's.
Here is a basic list of the New Ford Parts, yes new!, not reproduction, these were new directly from Ford in 1980.
I am not going to put new by each one, just listing them.
Rocker moldings, gas tank, sending unit, rt remote mirror, left remote mirror, fuel cap, door handles, back up lamps and lenses, parking lights and lenses, front and rear bumper, bumper guards with pads, rear valence, front valence, hood bumpers, door hinges 4,taillight bezels, trunk weather strip, door weather strips 2, sill moldings, hood molding, mustang letters, emergency brake assembly, insidemirror, right side fender. This does not even begin to mentions the countless new parts that are already installed on the car in the drivetrain
Restored radiator, starter, rear, engine, clock, polished moldings, re-chromed horse.I hope I have coveredeverything about thisMustang, if your upfor a project to finish with all the expensive work done and reassembly needed this is the car, if you looking for turn-key, this isnot for you. Please ask any questions, and if you would like to inspect the caror need any addition pictures I have many others that are notshown here, the car is located in EasternPa. and will have to be shipped from there, andyou will need a truck for all of the parts.
Theoriginal trunk lid is not in primer, and the left side fender is not primed either, they are rust free, the passenger side door is excellent, the drivers side door hasa couple ofverysmallareathatneed to be fixed in the lower corner, all tags andcorrect vin are on the car with correct tag on the door, and matching title and lots of paperwork
The tag is as follows top line 25 K20 7T03T133257, second line 76B V third line is Top L clear. The engine appears to be a 66 block with number of C6DE-6015B, manifolds 68DE-6090B, 63DE-9460A, steering box 7F 23B
Please ask any questions you may have, there is nothing to hide on this great project, would be amazing in that color combination with these options. The gentleman thatstarted thisproject had spent nearly 20K to get it to this point and that is 1980 money! I am sure I did forget something so if you don't see it in the pictures ask, I have 100% positive feedback, and want to keep it that way, please be serious and be ready to buy and pay for the car, a $1,000 deposit is required within 24hrs of auction close, and payment within 3 days, or the car will be re-listed. This Mustang is being sold AS IS, No Warranty either express or implied.. Thanks and good Luck Bidding.
On Aug-28-16 at 22:03:12 PDT, seller added the following information:A Note: the body work and panel replacement was done at a professional body shop, the quarters, floors and frame rails are beautifully done. This is not a back yard restoration The top material needs to be replaced, the frame is very good, and the electric hydraulic motor is there and there are new plastic lines for re-installation. There is a new Ford voltage regulator, and all the correct clamps, on the hoses in the engine compartment. The top of the inner aprons in the front is perfect with correct vin as originally stamped by Ford.
I have a 5 page spread sheet of purchases and parts, the previous owner who was restoring this Mustang was very thorough.
