Description

I have a shop where all we work on is Ford Focuses. I've owned more SVT's than I am years old. This is a beautiful example of what you could drive off the showroom floor 13 years ago. Clean unmolested examples are getting harder and harder to find. I would bet of the total 14,004 SVTF's produced from 2002-04 over half are no longer even with us.I bought this car last year, had it shipped to me from Pennsylvania. Poor guy I got it from had found this extra nice car and after 2 years of ownership thought he wanted to try some autocross. I don't think anything went too bad for him, until heput a cold air intake on, being as he drove it on the street as well he managed to hit a puddle and suck water. So I bought it with a blown engine. As it sits now, the engine isfresh. Has less than 1000 miles on it. New rings, bearings, gaskets, seal, timing belt, valve job, thermostat housing, and ignition coil. You might call it a restoration, except all I really needed to switch back was the air cleaner. I did put a SPEC clutch assembly in it. It is 2 lbs lighter overall, and has more gripping force (also a little more pedal effort). I also switched out the brakes, now it has the drilled rotors seen in the pics.I know it wasn't piss pounded all it's life in that the original clutch was still in good shape and I'm 99% certain the brakes/rotors were also the ones that it left the factory with.I unfortunately rarely get to drive this beauty. I have a dusty driveway out in the country. I get dirty working all day, so there isn't anyway I can daily this. Sometimes it sits 2-3 weeks at a time before I can actually come from home clean enough to let myself sit in it. I have to admit it is too nice for me. I want to put gloves on to touch the steering wheel! The stickers that he put on it are kind of 'Loud', but I have left them just the same since they seem compliment the cars colors so well. They will peel off with hardly any effort.
While I am planning a trip to 'Focus Fest' in Cordova IL on Labor Day weekend (5hour ride for me), if one of you steps up and buys this I'll drive something else. With that said, you can certainly feel comfortableflying and driving it home. I can also help arrange shipping. Either way I am hoping for a good home for this beauty!
Here in my home state of Wisconsin I have a dealers license, so if you hail from the cheese state as well I need to collect tax, title and registration fees at time of purchase. Out of staters have to do that at home so I simply sign the title over.
Questions?
You can email me, but if you are serious a call will tell you lots more. You can also text if you'd like, but please not 20-30 of them...
Thanks,
Matt
