1999 Ford F-350 Super Duty Crew Cab Diesel Pick-UpThis is a rare truck and would be a great starting point for some one wanting a restoration project. It would also make a good work truck. This truck is a 1999 F-350 XLT Super Duty crew cab diesel with the 6 speed manual transmission. manual hubs and 3. 73 limited slip rear axle. It has the following options. nbsp;40/20/40 front bucket seats with center console and all available XLT options offered at the time of purchase except automatic transmission & automatic hubs. It also was ordered with the factory Auxiliary Idle Control which allows for fast idle while parked with the parking brake on. This control also provides for a charge protect setting which maintains the battery voltage in a charging condition. It had the full Ziebart undercoat. rustproofing. fabric protector and paint shield package applied when it was new. It was inspected every year and had it's undercoating touched up as necessary for the first 8 years after purchase. It has 209. 00 miles on it and has had the oil changed every 5000 miles and the fuel filter changed every 10. 00 miles. Recent repairs include a new thermostat last year. new 300. 00 mile coolant. new gaskets on the valve covers and on the oil cooler assembly along with an oil change last week at a cost of $1158. 21 and I have the receipt. A new A/C evaporator. new blower control were installed in August of 2013 but I am not sure I have the receipt but might be able to get a copy from my dealer if needed and this cost was about $1. 00. 00. I also installed new headlight and parking light assemblies and two new Die Hard Platinum batteries. The tires have over 50% of the tread and all the brakes and rotors plus the front wheel bearings were replaced three years ago and have less than 15. 00 miles use. The truck is equipped for towing with both a 2 inch receiver on the custom rear bumper and a 25. 00# gooseneck hitch in the bed. It has an electronic brake controller installed. The front bumper is a custom bumper with a 12. 00# Mile Marker hydraulic winch. On the front bumper is a pair of stainless steel KC Daylighters which are wired so that they can only function when the truck's high beams are activated. There is a switch which allows the operator the option of using them or not. The rear auxiliary back-up lights no longer work. However I think it is just a wiring issue or a relay issue under the bed. The bed has a spray-in Rhino Liner and the black on the sides of the truck is also Rhino Liner to prevent rock chips. In the bed is a Weatherguard brand tool box which has had the inside sprayed with Rhino Liner to prevent tools sliding around. Now for the bad. Overall this truck is in good condition for it's age but has some rust which needs repaired and the parking brake does not work properly. The drivers side rear rocker panel is rusted out and needs replaced. It also has some surface rust on passenger side of the bed near the bed rail. The steering is a little loose and I suspect that the ball joints also need replaced since these were replaced at 125. 00 miles and likely due for replacement again. The problem with the parking brake is that it does not seem to hold or holds very little. Might be an adjustment. I do know that the parking brake cable is working and it does move as the parking brake pedal can be pushed all the way down and then retracts fully. The cable has been observed to move when the pedal is depressed and released. Therefore the parking brake shoes may need to be replaced or adjusted.
