1966 Ford Mustang 289 Auto

1966 Ford Mustang 289 V8. 4 barrel carb. automatic 3 speed transmission. Freshly rebuilt 289 balanced with all new parts including timing belt. water pump. Rear end rebuilt w/ 3. 25 gear and all bearings. new drive shaft. Automatic transmission shifts well. Car has the original power steering and drum brakes. Interior is in very great shape w/ newer headliner. Carpet and door panels in great shape. Exterior was painted in the last five years by previous owner. Paint in good shape with small blemish near rear drivers side quarter panel at wheel. Has 14" wheels w/ wire hub caps. which appear to be original. I bought this car knowing it had a vibration in the drive line. Main issue was a balance issue in the motor. Motor was pulled and crank shaft balanced. total rebuild. and detailed. New headers installed. Car has a posi rear end that needed attention so it was totally rebuilt. including 3. 25 gear. bearings. wheel bearings. and seals. Drive shaft was questionable so it was replaced. We added a set of aftermarket gauges (oil pressure / water temp) as a backup to the stock gauges. Bottom side of the car was cleaned. sanded. all bottom plugs replaced. and repainted. Tires have good tread but are not all the same brand tires. I have planned to install aftermarket wheels and tires. so I have not replaced the current tires. The odometer shows 79. 01. but I cannot confirm the actual mileage. This car is basically stock. other than a small cam and the 4 barrel carburetor. This car is NOT a numbers matching car. but is a V8 / Automatic car. Excellent driver.
