1930 FORD MODEL A PICK UPUP FOR AUCTION IS A REALLY NICE 1930 FORD MODEL A PICK UP. THIS TRUCK IS BUILT IN THE RAT ROD STYLE, HOWEVER IT IS NOT MADE WITH OLD PARTS LYING AROUND. THE
BODYCAB IS AN ORIGINAL 1930 HENRY STEEL BODY THAT WAS CHOPPED 3" AND CHANNELED 4". IT WAS STRETCHED BEHIND THE DOORS 6", SO THERE IS PLENTY OF ROOM. I AM 6'0, 230 POUNDS AND HAVE NO PROBLEM FITTING IN THE TRUCK. THE TRUCK HAS SUICIDE DOORS WITH WORKING DOOR HANDLES. THE DAS IS FROM A 1956 CHEVY TRUCK. ALL THE GAUGES WORK, HOWEVER THE SPEEDO AND TEMP GAUGE NEED A CABLE. THE TRUCK WAS TAKEN DOWN TO BARE METAL THERE WAS VERY LITTLE RUST AND IT WAS REPLACED WITH NEW METAL. THE BODY WORK IS PERFECTLY STRAIGHT AND THE TRUCK WAS PAINTED IN A PATINA STYLE.
BEDTHE BED IS A 1930 MODEL A BED FACTORY LENGTH AND WIDTH. THE FRONT PANEL WAS REPLACED ALONG WITH A NEW TAIL GATE. NO BODY WORK WAS DONE TO THE BED, THERE IS NO RUST. THE BED WAS ALSO PAINTED IN A PATINA STYLE. THE BED FLOOR IS CEDAR WOOD WITH SHOCK ASSISTED HINGES WITH A LOCKING HANDLE. THE TAIL LIGHTS ARE CUSTOM BILLET LIGHTS.
CHASSISTHE CHASSIS IS AN ORIGINAL MODEL A FROM THE BACK OF CAB FORWARD. THE CAB BACK IS BOXED 3/16 STEEL, 2X4 3/16 WALL BOX TUBING FROM BACK OF CAB TO THE END OF THE BED. THERE ARE 2 DRIVESHAFT LOOPS. THE REAR IS A 4 LINK SUSPENSION WITH A PANHARD BAR. IT HAS SEMI ELIPTICAL SUSPENSION WITH SHOCKS AND A 10 BOLT CHEVY REAR END. IT HAS A DAGO FRONT AXLE FROM THE 1960'S, SPRING BEHIND AXLE, HAIR PINS, PETE AND JAKES STEERING ARMS, CALIPER BRACKETS AND DISC BRAKES. IT HAS A VEGA CROSS STEER.
ENGINETHE ENGINE IS A 1965 OLDSMOBILE 425 CU IN THAT WAS COMPLETELY REBUILT MILDLY OVER STOCK FOR RELIABILITY. OFFENHAUSER VALVE COVERS AND OFFENHAUSER DUAL QUAD TUNNEL RAM. 2- 500 CFM EDELBROCK CARBS WITH DICSON FLAME ARRESTORS. CUSTOM MADE HEADERS THAT WERE WRAPPED AND HAVE REMOVABLE BAFFLES. THERE IS AN ALUMINUM 4 CORE RADIATOR. THE ENGINE RUNS PERFECT, HAS NO LEAKS, AND NEVER OVERHEATS.
TRANSMISSIONTHE TRANS IS A MUNCIE 4-SPEED, I AM NOT SURE IF IT IS A M-20 OR M-21. IT HAS A INLINE MR GASKET V-GATE SHIFTER. THERE IS A NEW CLUTCH, PRESSURE PLATE, AND HYDRAULIC THROW OUT BEARING.
INTERIORTHE INTERIOR IS VERY BASIC AND INCLUDES A SET OF 1956 CHEVY TRUCK GAUGES. THE SHIFTER TOP IS A PROP GUN REVOLVER AND THE REVERSE SHIFT IS A REVOLVER CHAMBER. THE FLOORS ARE TILED AND MY BUDDY DID SOME CUSTOM AIR BRUSHING ON THE BACK OF THE CAB. THE SEATS ARE JUST BASIC TRACTOR SEATS.
THE TRUCK HAS A NEW WIRING HARNESS AND NEW FUSE PANEL, ALL THE BLINKERS, LIGHTS, AND HORN WORK. THE WHEELS ARE ANSEN ALUMINUM SLOTS THAT ARE PAINTED BLACK. THE TIRES ARE COKER FIRESTONES ON REAR AND COKERS ON THE FRONT. THE TIRES WERE NEW WHEN BUILD WAS DONE. THE TRUCK RUNS AND DRIVES GOOD AND THE ENGINE IS A TORQUE MONSTER! I HAVE DRIVEN THE TRUCK ON LOCAL ROADS, AND ON THE HIGHWAY AND HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH IT. IT IS A GREAT RELIABLE LITTLE TUCK WITH A VERY COOL LOOK! THE TRUCK IS BEING SOLD AS IS WITH NO WARRANTY. I REQUIRE $1000 DEPOSIT WITHIN 48 HOURS OF AUCTION ENDING. BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SHIPPING THE VEHICLE, I WOULD BE HAPPY TO ASSIST IF NEED BE. GOOD LUCK!On Sep-11-16 at 20:16:56 PDT, seller added the following information:
