Description |

This is a 1940 Ford Sedan Deluxe that was just pulled out of a barn where it has sat for the last 50 years. The story of this car is that the owner bought it in 1966 to restore a car from the year of his birth, unfortunately he passed prior to being able to do so. The car has sat in this barn since the day he brought it home.
The body on this car is spectacular for it's age. There are no major dents and dings other than what appears to be one on the lower door from where someone may have sprung the hinge. There is surface rust on the roof and a few otherspots from where the roof of the barn was leaking. There are no rust holes in the body.
The interior is in rough shape and from what we learned the kids would play in the cars in the barn which led to the interior being ripped up. The door glass from both doors is missing and the passengers side rear window iscracked. Both seats are present. There is a decent size hole in the floor where the drivers feet would go.
There is no engine in the car. The story is the engine was pulled to be rebuilt and was ultimately used for something else. The manualtransmission is still present.
The frame is rusty, but not rusted. It is in great shape, but just a lot of surface rust from being in a barn.
The trunk has a few holes in it.
The doors open and close great and thetrunk lines up great as well.
Overall this is agreat project tostart with as you will have very little body work.
There is no reserve on this car and it is for sale locally. Seller reserves the right to cancel the auction at any time.
