Description

Up for sale is a 1965 Ford Fairlane 500 Sport Coupe. It sports a 289 CI 2BBL (K Motor), (225 HP). AutomaticC4 transmission. 93,000 original miles.

The engine runs very strong, no smoke on start up or acceleration. Runs cool as it should.

Transmission shifts as it should. Does not hesitate. Very strong.

What's been done: Set of (5) new tires (205/70R14), New Brake wheel cylinders, New brake master cylinder, Overhauled power steering system ( Rebuilt P/S ram, P/S cylinder, Replaced P/S hoses( Pressure side hose was custom made)(not available after market)(cost $200)

Complete tune up,(cap, rotor, ignition wires, and plugs), New sway bar end link bushings, New strut rod bushings, Rebuilt the carburetor. New idler arm.

Goes down the road straight...... Brakes work as they should(nice high pedal and no pull).

Also, I bought this Fairlane with body damage: Right side door (repaired), Fender, Bumper(replaced), Headlight assembly(replaced), Stainless trim(replaced), Front filler panel(replaced), behind bumper(replaced).

All paintable panels replaced have been painted to factory spec(one stage DuPont paint).

All damage was superficial...................I spent $2,000 on body alone...................... Hard part is done........................ All parts are OEM used parts....................................... I spent many hours sourcing these parts out........

About 70% of paint is original( but very tired, worn). Some dings and scratches. Rear bumper is damaged, but can be straightened and chromed.

Absolutely, No rust!!! This is a California car!!! SEE PICTURES.......

Needs: Shocks are worn out, Fuel tank could use a cleaning, Fuel sender(works, but only registers 1/4 tank), lighter

Interior: The color is red. Sports bucket seats and console. The driver's seat has been redone(Before my time)(notto OEM specs), Carpet has been replaced(before my time), Headliner needs to be replaced(normal).

Basically, it needs an interior. It is not all torn up and ratty. Just needs to be up dated. At that point you could do a color change, if wanted. Complete upholstery are out there. Very reasonable.....

I also, have a set of new wheels(15x7 Hurst Dazzler)(still in boxes).

I also have an Edelbrock Airgap Durashine 4bbl intake manifold (10 hours running time on test engine)(not street driven)

These can beincluded with sale price(if it the price of the car reaches my reserve price).

I will not tell you what my reserve is, so please don't ask. If you're interested than bid.
