This is the first and likely only time this car will be on ebay, so please don't hesitate if this car is for you. Call Doug at 913-461-4890 with any questions or to arrange to purchase. **A video of this car is available** just email or call.
This '52 Customline was built entirely by the previous owner, including body and paint, and was meant to be his forever car. It is solid, well-built, and will shred the rear tires, or can be driven with one finger all over town. Much more money was spent on its construction than is being asked.
The body is super clean, straight, and rust-free, as is the frame. Paint is a gorgeous rose metallic that is even more stunning in direct sunlight. The windows are trimmed in black with subtle metallic in it as well. Paint is sanded and polished to a deep, reflective luster and is in excellent condition.
A lot of money was spent to restore the car right, including all new chrome bumpers, bezels, lenses, emblems, weatherstripping, and stainless trim. Taillights are '56 Olds, and ALL glass is new, including front, back, and sides. The front glass is tinted on top, and all side glass is tinted inside (not a film). These things make a HUGE difference vs buying a car that was simply painted and had all the other pieces simply cleaned up/reinstalled.
The interior is neat and clean, with light gray cloth upholstery and door panels that have no rips, tears, or stains of any kind. Upper door panels and dash are painted a beautiful light gray to match. Carpet and package tray are in nice shape, and the CD stereo works great. Has supplemental gauges installed as well. Headliner is nice and tight, but could benefit from some light cleaning. Has a tilt column, nice Pilot wood wheel, and custom floor shifter that shifts like butter.
This street rod is powered by a well-built, well-sorted 351 Ford V8, with dual quad Edelbrocks, Endurashine polished intake, aluminum radiator, MSD ignition, Power Steering, Power disc brakes, and a Mustang II front end with notched frame for better turning capability. Transmission is a modern Ford AOD unit, with automatic overdrive. Rear is a Ford 9-inch, with a 3.08 gear set. A set of new 17" Mustang Torque Thrust type wheels with Ford spinner caps and Pirelli Z-rated tires completes the look and ride. Car is tuned right, and starts immediately without needing to pound the pedal. Idles smooth, and runs very strong. The car would benefit from a set of sway bars to help limit body roll.
This Customline is excellent and needs nothing to be driven and enjoyed now. The speedo and gas gauge are inop, and has had two small patches replaced with metal in the front floors. Aside from these minor items, the car is very high quality and will not disappoint. You will be very hard-pressed to find a nicer, better equipped street rod for under $25k.
PLEASE READ: This is not a game to us. Please have all your finances and permissions in place BEFORE placing a bid. Please have all questions answered to your satisfaction BEFORE placing a bid. We've tried to describe this car as accurately as possible, but we can't possibly cover every minute detail. Please be realistic--this is a 65 YEAR old car, not a 65 DAY old car. It is very, very nice, but is not perfect, as no restored vehicle ever is, and this fact is always reflected in our prices. A non-refundable $500 deposit is due within 72 hours of auction close. Remainder must be paid in full within 7 days of auction close. WE DO NOT CHARGE ridiculous dealer prep and paperwork fees like the other guys do; you only pay for actual overnight postage and/or wire transfer fees. We can arrange all shipping for you, but buyer is responsible for all costs. Good luck winning this beautiful, fun-to-drive, and reliable Ford street rod.
