The engine roars when it comes to life. The combination of a strong torky 460 with headers and the perfect lumpy cam gives you goose bumps and your testosterone increases with each push of the peddle. There are no cracks or rips in the original seat, dash or headliner. I put in a new padded carpet kit from LMC.
The XLT model was the top of the line and came with two gas tanks. I removed the rear tank to lighten and even the truck out. Everything works on the truck including the original am radio. But I shortened the antenna down because I liked the look. I also lowered the truck 2 1/2".
This is no trailer queen. It's not the perfect body nor did I want it to be, but has great patina and is a true driver not a flashy "don't touch it" show truck. When I purchased it there was some rust on the inside fender wells so I replaced them with new LMC ones. I also had a professional body shop re-paint the lower white section of the truck and take care of some small rust areas. The brakes have not been converted to disks but it stops well and they have been checked and evened out. It comes with a matching green fiberglass bed cover that was on it when I purchased it. I liked the side board look so I made my own. I also added hood stripes and the bull horns as you can see. I have had this truck at 90 mph and the horns are still stable, but easy to remove. I believe every single part under the hood was replaced. This is not a frame off. Just a nice old truck that the owner got a little carried away with. I am moving to the coast and do not want to see salt air get to it so it's time to move on to other joys in life. I will be happy to show the truck to anyone who wants to look at it in person. I live in Beaverton Oregon and available most always. Requests for the reserve price will be ignored as it defeats the purpose of a auction. A winning bid with no prior feedback or history will not be excepted without contacting me first.
