Selling our beloved truck. Bought new on July 10, 2001, she has enjoyed 195,450 miles with our family. Throughout our years together, she has been a wonderful truck. Only once, in September 2012, did she fail to finish a commute. Her fuel pump had died requiring a replacement with 180,811 miles on the odometer. She hasn't missed a beat before or since.
In 2011, a fawn darted out in front of her. Sadly, the little deer didn’t survive. The truck needed a new radiator, headlight, AC condenser, and some minor repairs to her grill. These were completed at McLaughlin Ford in Sumter, SC using OEM parts.
AutoCheck reports one accident involving the truck, which is a bit of a misnomer. Material in a trailer being hauled by the truck made contact with a car while merging. No damage was reported to any party involved.
This truck has been exceptionally well cared for and it shows in the high-resolution photographs.
In August, a new set of Bridgestone Duravis R500 HD E tires were installed and she received two new Autocraft batteries. Her 195,000 miles service, including an oil change, new oil, fuel, and air filter, was completed a few weeks ago.
The truck is stock aside from an exhaust gas temperature gauge (used to make sure the turbo had cooled prior to turning off the motor) and a B&W “Turnover Ball” Gooseneck Hitch rated at 30,000 pounds trailer weight and 7,500 pounds tongue weight.
